Most people aren’t going to carry their recycling home. If single-use plastics continue to be used let’s make it easier to recycle them where they’re being used: ie ‘out and about’ - on the high street, in the park, or on a residential street on the way home.
Agree totally, this should happen as standard
That is a great idea
We have those here (as we are a holiday resort). They work quite well (although all our public waste disposal facilities are easily overwhelmed) in the areas of greatest footfall. But still a lot escapes. Polystyrene food containers are a particular problem as they blow out of the bins so easily (we do not recycle polystyrene here) or are taken out by gulls.
Does anyone have experience of polystyrene being recycleable?
